Breaking Glass Pictures/QC Cinema announces "Summer of Pride" Sale

June 22, 2011 -- Philadelphia, PA -- On May 31, President Barack Obama proclaimed that June 2011 would be "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender and Pride Month". In doing so, he called upon the American public to eliminate prejudice and to celebrate the great diversity of the American people. As a diversely staffed company that champions LGBT titles from across the globe, Breaking Glass Pictures is extending our Pride throughout the summer. From now until September 1, all LGBT titles in the Breaking Glass Pictures catalog are 30% off in our official store (www.shop.breakingglasspictures.com).

Since opening our doors in 2009, Breaking Glass Pictures has released over two dozen LGBT titles, for a variety of tastes. Our titles range from the tender tales of enduring devotion like "Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement" and "Marathon" to the erotic "Focus Re/Focus" and "Watch Out." Remastered classics such as "Taxi zum Klo" and new megahits such as Casper Andreas' "The Big Gay Musical" and "Violet Tendencies" are among our most popular titles. Fans of European cinema would do well to check out Italy's "Anotherworld," Spain's "Spinnin,'" and Todd Verow's French "The Final Girl." Our documentary line includes local film "Straight and Butch", Christopher Hines' "The Adonis Factor", as well as films about the gay sex trade, "Men for Sale", "All Boys" and the forthcoming "Rent Boys," available Fall 2011.

Our commitment to inclusion extends to reception as well. In addition to titles that have been acclaimed by GLAAD, Breaking Glass has not shied away from films that stir up controversy within the community, including "Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives," which was boycotted by the recently ousted GLAAD president, Jarrett Barrios.

To receive 30% off on our titles, enter "PRIDE" when prompted during checkout. And be ready for the latest QC Cinema titles, "The Cost of Love" and the critically acclaimed French film "Gigola", coming in Fall 2011.
