Registrations Now Open For a Weekend of Connection and Transformation

Rowe, MA (07-11-14) -- Registrations are now open for the 29th annual Rowe Labor Day, a weekend retreat at the Rowe Center in Western Massachusetts. One of the longest- standing gay, bisexual, and questioning men's gatherings in the United States, Rowe Labor Day offers the chance to forge a connection to the gay community and undergo a personal transformation. This year's event will take place from Friday August 29th to Monday September 1st 2014.

Rowe Labor Day is an ideal event for men looking to have a unique, fulfilling Labor Day weekend. Instead of going to the beach or hosting a barbecue, the retreat delivers an unforgettable experience where men can enjoy an accepting community and forge deep personal connections, bringing them back year after year.

"What brings me back to the Rowe each Labor Day weekend for the last four years is the community of men who come here each year," said a recent attendee. "Each year, I look forward to sharing and learning from new men as well as from the close friends I have made in past years. We are all on a similar journey of improving ourselves in body, mind, and spirit."

Participants use the holiday as a chance to break free from their everyday lives, open their minds, and get in touch with their spiritual sides, finding themselves transformed both intellectually and emotionally. The retreat will incorporate a series of workshops on topics like meditation, relationships, and body image; one of last year's workshops was a discovery of the various paths toward spiritual wellness, particularly during difficult times.

These workshops will segue into small discussion groups, often said to be the highlight of the weekend. There will also be large group activities and a ritual experience.

"Rowe Labor Day is spirituality for the gay man of today. Gay men grow up as spiritual lone rangers, and Rowe Labor Day is a homecoming for these warriors. We have been hard at work planning exceptional programs for this year's retreat, and we look forward to hosting another great group of men this Labor Day weekend." - Benjamin Seaman, Co-Director.

The Rowe Center is nestled in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts and serves as an idyllic setting for Rowe Labor Day. The center strives to help people understand themselves better and enhance the world around them. Guests delight in strolling through the nearby forest, marveling at the waterfall, and viewing picturesque sunsets. The center offers a variety of lodging options, and chefs provide fresh gourmet meals with an emphasis on local organic food.
