BREAKING GLASS PICTURES TO SHATTER THE MARKET WITH FIRST INDEPENDENT GAY BLU-RAY RELEASE
Philadelphia, PA 03-19-10 -- Breaking Glass Pictures, a new indie distribution formed by industry veterans Richard Wolff, CEO and Co-President, and Richard Ross, Co-President, is starting off strong with the first Blu-Ray release of an independent gay feature.
From directors Casper Andreas and Fred M. Caruso comes THE BIG GAY MUSICAL, hailed as "Thoroughly engaging, funny, smart and heartfelt!" and "Seldom has blasphemy been so entertaining". The film tells the tale of Paul (Daniel Robinson) and Eddie (Joey Dudding), two theater actors who have just commenced working together on their new Off-Broadway musical _Adam and Steve, Just the Way God Made 'Em_, a show that oddly mimics their own personal lives. Through glittery, yet comical musical numbers with provocatively dressed tap dancing angels, a retelling of Genesis, a cameo from adult film star Brent Corrigan, televangelists, a camp that attempts to convert gay kids to straight, and numerous showtunes, both characters go through life-changing experiences.
Special features include the full musical of _Adam and Steve_ not shown in the feature, trailers, the Making of THE BIG GAY MUSICAL featurette, and commentary with directors Casper Andreas and Fred M. Caruso, star Daniel Robinson, and editor Alex Hammer.
Wolff and Ross are excited to pioneer gay independent films onto Blu-Ray and hope to have a follow-up soon. Blu-Ray sales currently account for 15% of the film's total sales with a continually rising percentage. THE BIG GAY MUSICAL hits stores on APRIL 6TH on Blu-Ray for $29.99 and DVD for $24.99.
